Finished tracking the album and the preliminary mixes are sounding quite beastly! We couldn’t be more thrilled at the thought of our album being finished completely in a matter of months! We’ve worked so long on this album, we’ve nurtured it, fed it, watched it grow, and it’s almost time to let it venture out like babies first steps! Getting all emotional over here…I’m sorry.

We are going to start planning a listening party as a pre-launch to the album. We want to ease our baby out into the wild… If you want to know what it sounds like, while at the same time drinking beer with us, maybe playing some beer pong, and maybe watching some select video…it’s going down! More on those details as we confirm.

Until then, we’ll see you at the shows.

Getting so much closer to the finished product!  We’re down to vocals now and some of our completed tracks are in the mixing process.  When we set out to record this album we wanted to do it precisely the way we’ve always wanted our music to be heard.  We’ve been meticulous.  We want a finished product that reflects the quality and thought that we put into each song.  It was important to us to walk away from the studio with the mentality that we did the absolute best.  Given the equipment we have access to and the pros that we are fortunate enough to work with, we are on our way to a dream.  We owe what we have and what will be to the motivation that our friends and family (YOU) give us daily.  We owe it to ourselves for constantly pushing each other towards being better, and capturing the best we personally have in us.  It’s been a trying process, maybe we lost some friends along the way, and we’ve certainly gained some great friends in the process, but the personal growth gained has been extraordinary. 

Stay tuned for some new tracks that might be peeking their heads out to say hello in the very near future.

What’s up Rockers!!!



Thought it would be proper to give you guys and gals a little update of what’s been going on with the GITM boys these days…



ALBUM:

We are heading back to the studio in hopes to finally finish this album. If things go right we’ll have the tracking wrapped up by the 25th of April. Then comes the mixing process…2 or 3 months should get it done.



WANT TO GUEST ON THE GITM ALBUM “EQUIP TO COPE”???

We’ll be looking for people that can rip up the chorus on “Never Trust A Pirate” with us! Think you got what it takes??? If so, holler at us soon (we have a limited number of spots left)!!! You’ll have to pass a small test in rhythm before we lay down the real deal! We’ll be your “Randy Jackson” if you suck (not Simon). We’ll say things like “You did your thang dogg, good lookin’ out, but I didn’t really get that…” Hahaha



SHOWS:

We do have a few shows in the works. ST. LOUIS, we are heading your way to kick some ass and drink all your beer Tuesday March 11th. If you want to know how we throw it down in our home town, now is your chance!!! March 22nd in CALIFORNIA Missouri. These shows ALWAYS promise to be a good time! Especially when we have our boy Barrett from the Buzz raging with us! Also, we’ll be looking to do an April date in Columbia most likely, so check the bulletins! J



STREET TEAM:

The street team is growing in size! We’ll soon be in desperate need of anyone willing to help. Pass out flyers, promotional stuff for the album, post bulletins, and being creative! If you know anyone interested send them our way or to our “GITM UNDERGROUND” page!

TITLING WAVES OF MUSIC???    9/27/07

So we're discussing the title of this soon to be finished album we've been working so hard on.  Like everything else we are going into this guns blazing!  We've tossed around some excellent concepts, but the wording of these concepts seem to pose the biggest problem.  Something will give, something will click, and it's going to happen when we least expect it.  Life is interesting.  Interesting that it gives you moments that push you creatively until you feel like you're going to break, and then it gives.  For us, it takes moments like these to make us grow as musicians, friends, and moreover brothers.

Maybe the Title isn't the biggest deal in the world to some, but to us it is the defining title of everything we've built up to this moment.  

What will we call it?????

6/27/07 From Autumn To Ashes, GITM, and Let Lions Show @ Mojo's.

We had a Fantastic time last night!  Let me rephrase that...last night was a personal dream come true!  It was a dream come true for me because From Autumn To Ashes changed my life with their 2003 release The Fiction We Live.  If you were to tell me four years ago that I would be in a band that would open up for From Autumn To Ashes I wouldn't have believed you!  Leading up to the show I found my self a bit nervous.  I really didn't want to meet one of my idols and the guy be a jerk, that would suck!  Francis was the nicest guy in the world.  All the FATA guys were really good people and easy to talk to.  We shot some Jameson, shot some bull, and it couldn't have been more perfect.  We shared the stage with two great bands last night and playing a show at Mojo's is ALWAYS a good time-the Mojo's/Blue Note Staff are the greatest!
